I always dream about witnessing a moon eclipse, and the dream finally came true on Dec 10th.
Cold as it was that night, I went downstairs early in order not to miss the beginning of the eclipse. The round moon seemed like a bright mirror hanging in the deep black sky. Only two or three stars stood beside the moon. I stared at the moon the way she stared at me. It was so quiet that I even could hear the whisper of the moon. The steam of moonlight flew in the air, shining like silver.
However, it didn’t last for long. At 8:45 pm the left bottom part of the moon turned black – the eclipse began. It seemed that heavy clouds came and covered the moon. When she was disappearing, the steam of moonlight became narrower. Stars were active now. They came out of their hiding place one after another. Stars became the main players on the stage of the night, while the moon was not bright. She was red, but the shape was still clear. Light fog floated in the air. Everything was quiet. It was absolutely the best time of night.
I didn’t see the recovery of the moon because it was too late. Even so, I was quite happy. I was lucky enough to witness the eclipse and enjoying a relaxing night. The fantastic sight was nature’s best gift to me.
